Tori,
Future
Imperfect

Sometimes in order to survive you
have to leave  your life behind

TORI, FUTURE IMPERFECT is a documentary about the Karajá indians of Mato Grosso, about their traditions and the struggle to adapt to modern western life.
The Karajá live on the largest river island in the world.  Most years they host the Hetohoky, a ritual that conmemorates the transition from boyhood to the “world of men”.  This celebration expands over several months and brings the village together. But today’s Karajá are more interested in what the outside world has to offer than in their culture and ancestral beliefs. It is not easy to live online in the wild.
